Ow ya goin'
Celadon Trucking Services expanded its Highway 2 Health program with the addition of a full service medical center located at its Indianapolis headquarters.

The Highway 2 Health program was created in 2006 as a partnership between Celadon and Community Health Network to encourage Celadon's employees to take a more proactive role in managing their overall well-being. Since its inception, the Highway 2 Health program has been instrumental in a variety of company-sponsored health campaigns including: employee weight-loss competitions, exercise challenges, truck-stop friendly meal planning and wellness counseling.

Because of the programs success, Celadon chairman and CEO Steve Russell was honored in 2008 as the first person outside the medical community to receive the American Heart Association's prestigious Cor Vitae award. Celadon was also designated as a Gold-Level Fit-Friendly Company.

With the addition of the medical center, Celadon employees will have access to primary care services, worker's compensation rehabilitation and disease counseling at Celadon's Indianapolis headquarters. Scheduled to open April 14, 2011, the medical center will be staffed with board-certified family practice physicians, board-certified nurse practitioners and certified athletic trainers. Primary care services will be provided exclusively to Celadon employees covered under the company-sponsored health insurance plan. Employees can take advantage of services with no co-pay and certain prescriptions will be provided free of charge for an initial supply.
