I scraped the back of one under a bridge in New York City. Actually done it a couple times at the same bridge, but I was going through slowly with people watching to make sure nothing got damaged.
I have seen a lot of trailer topped on loading doors and bay doors. Dock workers wave the driver back and the driver thinking he has a spotter pulls into the dock and hits the overhead door that didn't pull up all the way. This is the most common accident at our company.
Our policy says to use a spotter, but a lot of those guys just don't care or understand anything about the trucks they are guiding.
