2. Streamlined Identification:
Regulated entities will continue to be identified by their USDOT Numbers. However, for those registering for operating authority, a suffix will be added to the USDOT Number to designate each type of authority granted. This eliminates the need for separate MC or FF docket numbers while maintaining clarity. It is important to note that this suffix will not be required on vehicle markings.

3. Improved User Experience:
The system promises a more intuitive and efficient experience with features like auto-population tools, real-time data validation, smart logic, edit checks, and notifications. Users will also have the flexibility to access and update their registration information on mobile devices and tablets, removing the need for paper form processing.

4. Enhanced Verification and Fraud Prevention:
FMCSA is incorporating new identity verification software to strengthen system security and reduce the risk of fraud. The system will feature automated business verification processes and edit checks to validate essential information, such as business addresses.
